Sanforà was born from the experience and passion of our family for Sangiovese, born from the desire to experiment with new forms of winemaking and elevation, using terracotta amphorae from Impruneta.
Bright ruby red with delicate purple hues.
Fresh, spicy, ne and fruity with an elegant oral and mineral base.
Fine and fruity with an elegant mineral contour. The taste is sweet, intense and fruity but at the same time delicate with floral notes; present a sweet and compact tannin integrated by a fresh acidity. The aftertaste recalls fresh fruity and floral notes, with a long savory mineral finish.
We hand-pick the grapes in small crates, we store them and we cool them for one night. The day after we double-check the grapes on the sorting table before starting the winemaking process.
Fermentation takes place spontaneously in 7 hectoliters terracotta amphorae where, for about 6 months, the wine rest on its skin, grape seeds and its indigenous yeasts. The malolactic fermentation takes place naturally.
The wine is then separated from the skins, poured in steel tanks, decanted and then bottled.
After bottling, it is aged in glass for at least two months before the release.
